Causes of Vertebral Subluxation
Any physical, chemical or emotional stress that is greater than the internal resistance of the body can cause a Subluxation.
Physical Stress can include slips and falls, accidents, repetitive motions and improper lifting. By far one of the greatest traumas is the birth process. During delivery, the newborn can experience up to 60 pounds of pressure on the spine resulting in the first Subluxation.
Chemical Stress can include eating too much sugar and preservatives, consuming too much alcohol, breathing environmental pollutants, and taking over the counter and prescription medications. Anything that upsets the body's internal chemistry disrupts the tone of the muscles, tendons and ligaments and can result in a Subluxation.
Emotional Stress can include anger, fear and hopelessness. Unfortunately, some people experience emotional stress on a daily basis. Emotional Stress puts stress on the body, causing the ligaments and muscles to tighten. This change in muscle tone can result in a Subluxation.
As you can see, there are many causes for Subluxations encountered every day. That is why it is important to have your spine checked for Vertebral Subluxations on a regular basis. Having a spine free of Subluxations is an essential part of optimal health and performance for you and your family.
